Sneak Peek... Tarnation Rectangle Rug

My work-in-progress for today is the pattern for this rug made out of tarn (t-shirt yarn)! I've just finished the first draft of the .pdf, and it's ready to be tested. When the test is over, the final version will be offered as a free download here and on Ravelry.

If you'd like to be a tester, please let me know and I'll email you the pattern. It's easy to make, and it takes about 5-10 t-shirts. Directions for making tarn are included in the pattern.

Sneak Peek... Wizard Warmers

I've got a new pattern that's ready to be tested, and it will be offered for sale here and on Ravelry after the test. It's a men's version of Witch Warmers, which is a set of armwarmers, legwarmers, and a neckwarmer.

If you'd like to be a tester, please let me know and I'll email you the pattern for free. When I've got enough testers, the freebies will no longer be available. It's a fun project, and it takes up to 500 yds / 456 meters of sportweight yarn for the full set. If you prefer, you can test just one of the items. I used Wool-Ease sportweight in the pictures, but Plymouth Encore DK is a fine substitute.

WIP Wednesday: Armwarmer

It's Work-In-Progress Wednesday! Today I'm working on the second of a pair of armwarmers. This is a dry-run of the first draft of my new pattern, which is almost ready for a group of testers. It's a men's version of Witch Warmers, and it includes legwarmers, armwarmers, and a neckwarmer.

WIP Wednesday: Neckwarmer

Once again, it's Work-In-Progress Wednesday. Today I'm finishing up the prototype for a new pattern design I'm working on. It's a men's version of Witch Warmers, and it includes legwarmers, armwarmers, and a neckwarmer. My WIP for today is the neckwarmer, which is very close to being finished. Since I have already done the prototypes for the arm and legwarmers, the pattern should be ready for testing in a week or two.

Sneak Peek... The Ultimate Recycled Market Bag

I've just finished the crochet pattern for my market bag, made out of plarn. It will be offered as a free download on Ravelry after it has been tested.

If you'd like to be a tester, please let me know and I'll email you the pattern. It's easy to make, and it takes about 20-25 large grocery store plastic bags. Directions for making plarn (PLastic yARN) from the bags is included in the pattern.

It's a fun project, and it takes up to 800 yds / 730 meters of sportweight yarn for the full set. If you prefer, you can test just one of the items. I used Wool-Ease sportweight and Plymouth Encore DK in the pictures.

I've just finished a new pattern for Halloween, which will be offered here and on Ravelry after it's been tested. It is a striped, ribbed tube top, designed to go with the Witch Warmers pattern (armwarmers, legwarmers, and a neckwarmer).

If you'd like to be a tester, please let me know and I'll email you the pattern for free. It's an easy project, and it takes about 400 yds / 370 meters of sportweight yarn. I used Wool-Ease sportweight, but I checked the gauge on Plymouth Encore DK, which is a fine substitute.

I've just finished re-designing the knitted Fortune-Teller Turban pattern to be done in crochet. It will be for sale on Ravelry after it has been tested.

If you'd like to be a tester, please let me know and I'll email you the pattern for free. When I've got enough testers, the freebies will no longer be available. It's easy to make, and it takes about 200 - 250 yards of worsted weight yarn. I used one of the new Lily Sugar 'n' Cream Super Size skeins, and it was just the right amount for size medium, with the swatch frogged and used in the turban. One 236-yd. skein of Lion cotton works perfectly.
