Summertime in South Texas means the freshest, juiciest, tastiest veggies make their way to our table. My friend and master gardener classmate, Fred, has been sharing his bounty with us again this year. I always like to give back a homemade concoction using his fruits and veggies whenever he's in town.
Being the King of Okra, there's a container of okra gumbo with his name on it in the freezer right now.
