WIP Wednesday: Ice Queen Warmers

It's Work-In-Progress Wednesday again! This is a legwarmer I'm making, which is a variation on the Witch Warmers pattern. These will be fairly ugly, if I don't get the after-knitting embroidery to work out right. The plan is to use duplicate-stitch to make a sort of drippy icicle-effect coming down off each stripe. Hooboy, I hope it works.

  1. I hope the icicle-effect works out, it sounds like an amazing idea. And I love the colours of this, and the ruffle---I don't think it could possibly turn out ugly.

  4. I love leg warmers and am so glad their trendy again. Truth be told, I still wore them when they weren't. The icicle effect sounds really cool, good luck on making it work!

  5. Thanks, everyone! I love legwarmers too, because I am a dress-wearer, and they're great for keeping warm in cold weather.

  6. I made myself some legwarmers a while back and don't wear them nearly as often as I should, I can't wait to see what these look like finished! I want to know what kind of icicle you mean :)

  7. That sounds like a really great idea, can't wait to see the end product. I'm such a leg warmers fan, but I have yet to knit any.
