It's a fairly stiff yarn, and the hook listed (size L, 8mm) is what I used for getting the gauge in the pattern and for making the hats in the photos. I highly recommend that you make a gauge swatch with the yarn you wish to use, and see which size hook gives you what you need to get the gauge in the pattern. Or have I misunderstood? 😳 please help 🙈Charliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01816043669767125946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6909962350069575355.post-68724102742554136402019-08-25T20:12:26.885-07:002019-08-25T20:12:26.885-07:00Glad you like it! Making a gauge swatch will help you determine this. I did not use a double strand, but it might be the best solution for you. Is this definitely correct? As it's meant to be a stiff fabric I would think you'd want a chunky yarn and a smaller hook than you'd usually use worn a chunky yarn. Or did you use a double strand of worsted weight yarn?Carrie Halenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6909962350069575355.post-10611723525518993012015-08-17T16:47:25.595-07:002015-08-17T16:47:25.595-07:00I love your witch hat.
